Young Women’s Christian Council (Y.W.C.C.)

The late Mother Mattie McGlothen, General Supervisor appointed Missionary Callie D. Smith the International President of the Young Women’s Christian Council for ladies ages 18-39 and Mother Allie Crutcher continued as the International President of the Christian Women’s Council.  The Y.W.C.C. is comprised of young women that are married, single, divorced, etc.; whose prime purpose is to dedicate them selves to render greater Christian service to the church/ministry.   The Y.W.C.C. is the training and development center for Christian women’s work.  Here, young women are trained to be auxiliary leaders, prayer warriors, good homemakers, lovers of their own husbands, minister’s wives and mighty women in Zion.

Being on the Team:  the Y.W.C.C. promotes the idea that women can be actively involved in other areas of the church, (i.e. Sunday School, Prayer & Bible Band, Women’s Department).  Being an active member of the council should enhance your ability to serve God and others.  The most important objective that young women should adopt from being a member of the Y.W.C.C. is that they are Available; Accountable and Accessible to and for God.

Our Proverb:  Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.  Favor is deceitful, beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.  (Proverbs 31:29, 30)

Our Scripture:  Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou and example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity in Spirit, in faith, in purity.  (I Timothy 4:12)
